I was reading some NFL news when I came across this piece here, and my bullshit-detector went off. Read this:
"The Associated Press reports former NFL QBs Warren Moon, Doug Williams and other former NFL quarterbacks said Thursday, Jan. 29, they have formed "The Field Generals" to serve primarily as a support group for black players. The group will help their modern-day counterparts deal with the extra scrutiny of being a high-profile minority player in the NFL. "As a quarterback -- I don't care who you are -- there's going to be some of those days," said Williams, the first black quarterback to win a Super Bowl. "As a black quarterback, sometimes they're a little tougher."
Are the joking? The scrutiny of being a minority in the NFL? For starters, if you are black and in the NFL, you aren't really a minority. 70% of NFL players are black. But this whole thing is just ridiculous. Those poor black NFL QB's. How do the LIVE? It must be agonizing. The money, the fame, the women, the mansions, the cars, etc. It must be tough.
