So anyway, I saw "Shrek 2" today, unwillingly, however. And you know what I discovered? The whole movie is about racism. Basically, this is the plot. The white girl's father doesn't want her to marry the Shrek (a.k.a. the black man), obviously because he doesn't like minorities. He then tries to use a Mexican to put a hit out on Shrek. At one part they have Shrek being chased riding a white bronco (a la O.J. Simpson) and then they have them on cops where they find weed on the cat/Mexican and go Rodney King on their asses. Then at the end, you find out that the father is actually a frog, which is supposed to mean that the father is actually part black and therefore a hypocritical self-hating mixed person. Maybe it's all in my head... I dunno.
Continuing with the theme of subliminal messages in children's movies, I've discovered some startling information about "Finding Nemo." First "Shrek 2," now this. It's horrible! These poor kids' heads being filled with bad thoughts. Finding Nemo: innocent, lovable child's movie, or evil film mocking the handicapped? I say the latter. Throughout this movie, they mock people with disabilities. Dory and her short-term memory loss problem; the sharks, obvious references to alcoholics; the sea horse, which mocks the lactose intolerant; the little girl who violently shakes the bag with the fish in it, undoubtedly ripping those with Parkinson's; and of course Nemo himself, who's got a little fucked up fin on his right side. This kind of hatred and discrimination has been secretly conveyed to the children of our society for years, and it must come to an end. Children need to be taught that people with disabilities are just like us... ya know, except for we can take care of ourselves.
