Going back to a comment I made earlier about the term "African-American". It's bullshit. You ever take a standardized test where you bubble in your race? Hispanic, Pacific Islander/Asian, African-American, white. Why just white? Because we don't give a shit. You aren't African-American. You are black. If we are white, you're black. If you're African-American, doesn't that make me European-American? Call me that from now on (I'm being facetious for the stupid people reading this). Martin Luther King, Jr. didn't want labels, and he wouldn't be in favor of the bullshit term. Why do we have this term? Because some blacks care about it. Why? They have no good reason. But, there ARE African-Americans. Who? Not the blacks you see every day, not the ones rapping (which is the action of "rap", not "rape", so don't get confused!), not the ones playing sports, not the ones who've lived here their whole lives. The only person who can possibly say they are an African-American is someone born in Africa, but lives here now. That's an African-American. Same for this Asian-American and Latin-American bullshit. I guarantee you I know more about Africa than most of the so-called African-Americans. The Latin-American thing pisses me off, too. Jennifer Lopez has won music awards called the "Best Latin-American" song or album or some shit. Oh really, what Latin-American nation is she from? The Bronx.
I am not racist at all. I want everything to be completely, 100% equal, which is why I have such a stance on the term "African-American". Do I have any African-American friends, you ask. No. But I do have plenty of black friends.
